Being a white Hawaiian

It might be bad that I feel a huge amount of satisfaction when I am socially accepted as Hawaiian by others after learning that I speak the language. I will never be automatically accepted in anyones mind that I am Hawaiian just from looking at me. So when I see the switch in a persons face when they realize "oh damn she actually is Hawaiian", I feel amazing. Cause you know what Ive spent almost my entire life learning and practicing the language. Ive gotta be honest the recognition feels good.
